Dealbh Ealain

On the 8th and 9th May a host of artists, practitioners, students, and Gaelic arts and language professionals descended upon An Lanntair for Dealbh Ealain - the Gaelic Arts Conference organised by PnE on behalf of GASD.

The two day event was made up of best practise case studies, practical workshops and debate, key note sessions and showcases. There was also a fantastic exhibtion of GASD funded projects and a unique concert on the Tuesday night.

Donna Cunningham, Director of Firefly Producions, will be reporting on the conference findings. She summed up on the Wednesday afternoon: "There is a tremendous spirit of optimism, co-operation, sharing of skills and evolution. Everything is growing and evolving. It's time for things to move up a gear and for us to move forward with a collective voice towards full implementation of a National Gaelic Arts Strategy."

With over 100 delegates there was a fantastic buzz during the conference and we hope this momentum and enthusiasm will carry on. Thanks to all who came, contributed and were involved! Keep an eye on the PnE website for updates in the meantime.
